A characterful 1940s Doxa with a silver dial, blued hands, small seconds and a distinctive anti-magnetic mechanical construction.

Condition & Details

In good condition with no scratches on the crystal. Normal wear and tear on the watch itself. The movement has been professionally serviced in September 2026 and runs flawlessly.This watch has been carefully preserved to maintain its originality.

Why This Watch?

This is the kind of early Doxa that shows why the brand mattered long before its famous dive watches. The silver dial has a wonderfully technical layout, with Arabic numerals, railway minute track and a sharply executed small-seconds register that give the watch real instrument character. The blued hands add exactly the right amount of contrast and make the dial come alive in the light.

The “Anti-Magnetic” signature is what gives this piece real historical weight. Watches like this were built around reliability and resistance to everyday magnetic fields at a time when that was a meaningful technical feature, not just marketing. Combined with the compact steel case and honest mechanical movement, this is a proper piece of pre-war / early post-war Swiss watchmaking with far more depth than a typical dress watch.
